I'm back!
I was having Blogger probelms with the website and couldn't upload and photos or new blogs - but I got it fixed. Yea!
So a few highlights from the week:
1. Finn found my gigantic jumbo Sharpie marker that I was using to mark on boxes that I am packing for our move. I stupidly left it on the table while I ran in the other room to get the tape gun. When I walked back in the room he was coloring all over my vintage Paul McCobb dresser. Oh yes. So I went into sheer panic and began scrubbing on it with a wet washcloth w/o a budge from the marker. Increasing panic set in and I ran to google "how to get sharpie off wood." I saw a post that said to try a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. I acutally had one of these and of course tried it but did not have high hopes. Mr. Clean got IT ALL OFF!!! I could not believe it! I still can not believe it! Mr Clean, you are my new best friend.
2. We put on offer on a house in Austin that we loved. It had been listed for 145 days but the very next day after we put our offer in another person came and put a better offer in so we lost the house. We prayed about this a lot though, so it just was not that house that God has for us - and seems pretty obvious to me especially the way it all happened. Now we are back to square one and preparing ourselves that we are probably going to end up renting for a bit since we are approaching the holidays and not much is coming on the market. We will keep looking though!
3. We went to my brother's last night for hamburgers and to watch the Cowboy game. My brother is such a good host. He had amzing cheeses, bugers with truffle salt (which is to die for), and VERY nice wine. It was a fun night & the boys were on their best behavior. So things seem to be looking up a little bit from the previous 2 recaps.

A busy day
Today was a pretty busy day...either that or most days are pretty busy and I just never noticed until I started recounting it in a blog. Jonah had preschool today and he was in charge of bringing the snack for the class. We decided on pretzels. He was excited to be the snack helper and also the line leader today. He love his teacher Mrs. Brown - he took her a flower the other day. Sweet soul. The boys played in their baby pool this afternoon and I started the horrible task of organizing clothes by what Jonah has outgrown but Finn hasn't and what are baby clothes that have been outgrown, and on and on. We played on the tire swing out front, rode the scooter, and had popsicles. I also actually got 2 boxes packed! Woo hoo! We are finding out our actual closing date tonight! Things are picking up.
I love this sweet face.
Jonah looks like such a little boy (not baby-ish at all anymore) to me in this picture. (slow down!)
Scooter ride
This was from last night - our trip to our new Trader Joes! The little shopping carts were a big hit.
Serious shoppers.
Winding down...snuggling with daddy
I love this sweet face.

Sandbox
I took the boys to the park this morning. They had fun in the sandbox and I actually remembered to bring their sandbox toys! Usually I forget and then they want to play with some other kids toys and I feel bad b/c the other kid doesn't want to share and then my kids are upset and the other non-sharing kid is upset b/c his mother in trying to force him to share - DRAMA -but today I actually remembered! Yea! There was a nice breeze so it wasn't too hot. I am ready for fall though.
